Kansas City (March 8, 2013) – High school students from metro Kansas City schools and across the Midwest will see their intense work designing and building an original robot culminate March 15-16 at the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics Competition (FRC) Regional Championship at Hale Arena. This year’s robotics game is themed Ultimate AscentSM — a fast-paced event in which robots pitch Frisbees into slots cut out of a raised platform for points.
