FIRST® LEGO® League – How to Start a Team Workshops

Come to our free Virtual informational session on FIRST® programs for kids in kindergarten through eighth grade and learn what’s involved with starting a team.  Below you will find the link to register for the workshop.

WHAT:

If you’d like to understand what’s required to start a team at your school, youth organization, or neighborhood group, this is the workshop for you! This also is a great opportunity for Rookie Teams, Rookie Coaches and Mentors, and young teams to learn and ask questions. In addition, due to COVID-19,  we will discuss various scenarios for the upcoming season.

Topics include: 

– Overview of the program

– What the season looks like

– How to register a team

– Typical budget and what you need (supplies, equipment)

– What a typical meeting looks like (structure, space, etc )

– Functions to fill within a team

– Where to go for help

– Questions/Answers

Please note that this seminar does not replace the Coaches’ Workshops for registered FIRST LEGO League Challenge teams. The September workshop includes detailed information about the new challenge, building and programming the robot, and judging.
